impulse不作動詞，也沒有動詞形式。該詞一般做名詞，在很少的情況下也做形容詞。

例如：（1）作名詞，表示沖動的欲望，神經(jīng)沖動，電脈沖，推動力。

Marge's first impose was the wrong.

馬吉的第一個念頭就是跑。

Gerry couldn't resist the impulse to kiss her.

格里抑制不住想親吻她的舉動。

The eyes converts light signals to nerve impulses.

眼睛把光信號轉(zhuǎn)變成神經(jīng)沖動。

It is the passions which provide the main impulse of music.

激情是音樂創(chuàng)造的主要動力。

（2）作形容詞，表示一時興起的，即興的。

例如：The curtains were an impulse buy.

這窗簾是一時心血來潮買下的。
